planet earth . . .

Did I mention that our subdivision has already set up Holiday decorations?

Bevo is feeling a little of the "Post Holiday Depression" and missing grampa Tommy very much...

Saturday was a big day for me.  I woke up early and ran a 14 miler.  It was fifty degrees FREEZING!!!

Needless to say, a nap of Epic proportions was needed.  After said, "Epic Nap" Matt and I went to game stop to see how many games we could get for $10.  Three! Three is the right answer!  :-)

We played video games until we couldn't take the pressure any longer (Stupid Narnia game and the wolves....grrrr....) and switched to a game we got a while ago and hadn't even opened yet!

We had been to Barnes and Noble and saw "Planet Earth, the interactive DVD game" on sale for $10!!  Since we own the series and have watched it over and over again we thought the game would be a cinch.

The set up:

We had to earn puzzle pieces and put together a puzzle in the middle of the board.  We earned pieces by landing on a color piece and answering the question correctly.  So- sounds easy right? ? ?

um?

985?!?! That's huge!

yep- 60 million!

um?

I KNOW this one!!! :-)

The completed puzzle!

It was an educational and fun evening!

:-)

Off to the herald hunt.  Should be fun!

thankFULL . . .

What a GLORIOUS Thanksgiving we had at the Berra's Beach House!!

The morning started off with a 2 mile jog for Bevo and another 4 miles for me.  (I knew there was pumpkin cheesecake in the fridge). :-)

After we got back Tommy and Bevo played outside:

*Tommy+Bevo=BFF*

I was inside making.... CARAMEL BACON!! *drool*

See that hole in the bacon at the top left... Bevo must have thought caramel bacon looked delicious too.  hm.

"where DID she hide it?"

While Sally, Ellen, and I were cooking the others enjoyed cornhole and football.

Bevo is currently sleeping on the floor.  I think he's had enough.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

start your engines!

Time for some NASCAR!!

What a GLORIOUS day!! We had SO much fun!  The day started out with a 9 mile run for me (which was good considering what I was planning to have for dinner later that day).  Then we headed off to the Homestead Speedway for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.  (At least I THINK that's what we saw, Aunt Mary PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong). Regardless of the race title the drivers were looking to get their hands on this...

*better than any trophy I got while twirling*

We got to the Speedway and decided it was time for lunch.

Yummy Steak or Sausage with peppers and onions!

After lunch we walked around looking at the sites and people.  We made sure to "boo" all of the "jerks."  I want to take this moment to tell you that I have NO idea of who to root for- I'm simply taking Tommy and Aunt Mary's advice.

The people:

*Up Bitch Creek*

* I don't know what to say*

Cheering and Booing:

Tommy was super generous and got us PIT PASSES!! We got to go ON the track and get a closer look at everything!!

*this was on a tram we took around the track!)

* I have NO words for this* (Actually I have a lot of words...)

And we're off:

Dinner:

I love NASCAR!

reasons eleventy-billion, eleventy-billion one, and eleventy-billion two that I love my job . . .

*reason eleventy-billion*
The Chorus parent who sent an edible arrangement to my classroom.
I wish I knew who did this so I could thank them!

*reason eleventy-billion one*
A smashed chocolate cupcake from a 4th grade feast, "Erica dropped it!"
Don't worry- Erica dropped it on the plate- not the floor.  I was able to save the icing... :-)

*reason eleventy-billion two*

Fourth graders who giggle at pooping annimals- What's great about this is that Matt and I have one at the house that's a pig that poops...

My life is pretty good.
