I can't believe that this is coming out of my mouth but....
I LOVE INDY RACING!!
We pulled into parking lot B of the Homestead Speedway and I could feel the dread in the pit if my stomach. I was already hot beyond belief, tired from a 10 mile run, and annoyed at the loud cars coming from a mile away. This did not get any better when I had to use a porta-john. >:(
We lathered up with sunscreen- Here's Matt trying not to get a "redneck!" ROTFLMAO!!! (I know- I'm too HILarious!)
Then the gang showed up! A couple of beers made it feel a *little* more bearable.

We make our way to the gate and we were delighted to find...
a FERRIS WHEEL??

Everyone started to get VERY excited! Too good to be true! It was fantastic! We got to the stands and got a good look at the, ahem, "dancers." Everyone has a dance team in Miami!
We thought this guy had a great idea with his "yard of beer" hanging from his neck...
Yes, that checkered lanyard holds his yard of beer. :-) Awesome!! We thought that sounded like a good idea...

In all honesty, this is the perfect sport for me (like hockey). I'm too ADD for football and baseball. This is seriously a GREAT time. Aside from the pre-race fun we had, I was truly entertained for the duration of the race. We all picked people to watch and we could see the cars go around. We had earplugs so it wasn't too loud. I loved it! The pit crews are SO fast! We are going to go to Nascar when Matt's parents come down over Thanksgiving- great timing Tommy! Here are some action shots from the stands.

I never thought I would like this but it was a good time. It's not at all like watching it on TV- it's fast and fun! LOVE it! Can't wait for the next race!!
