Hibiscus.
Tuesday night, before Matt left for DC for work, he called to me while I was washing the dishes and said, "Honey, come out here- I have to show you something." I'm *fairly* certain I rolled my eyes and thought that it HAD to be something to do with the pool that I MUST do while he was gone. Boy did I eat my thoughts!
Matt, my lovely, talented, amazing, hard-working, and thoughtful husband called me outside to show me the billion, million, thousand, hundred, sixteen hibiscus bulbs that were getting ready to bloom in our backyard. He reminded me to come out in the next couple days and take a look!
I remembered this yesterday. See, it's been absolutely NUTS here at the Berra's. Well, not really at the Berra's per se but where the Berra's work and the fact that this Berra is trying to log between 25-30 miles a week in marathon training. Don't get me wrong- it's a GOOD nuts! We are thankfully both employed, in a home, with amazing friends and family- not to mention our health. :-) SO BLESSED!! But, I get home and it's like a train wrecking into the couch with a dog barking and cats planning their early death meowing.
Matt is much better than I am when it comes to relaxing and I'm so BLESSED to have a husband who reminds me to "stop and smell the hibiscus."
Ah, life is good GREAT!!
:-)
You husband is THE MAN for doing that. Totally adorable.
ReplyDeleteAnd holyhell you must live in paradise with those flowers and sunshine!
Seeing hibiscus everywhere was one of my favorite parts of Hawaii. I even have a print on my fridge. :)
