Trying recipes in the little apartment on the beach was next to impossible. We had absolutely no counter space. When I looked at recipes to try to techniques I wanted to explore I had to see if the kitchen could accommodate the recipe. More than one appliance at a time would not fit!
Now we are in heaven. We have a spacious kitchen with a TON of counter space. I will make the biggest messes in the kitchen and spread everything out far more than needed just because *I can.*
Another blessing that comes with home ownership is owning a grill.

a master in the making
I've wanted a grill that does not say "George Foreman" on it for as long as I can remember. We got our grill before we even officially moved into the house! We were excited.
Over the past few weeks I've done a couple of things on the grill. We made some turkey, portabella burgers, some Blue Cheese and Bacon Burgers, and last night...
Chicken Kebabs!!
Seriously, is there anything better than veggies and meat on a stick??
After dinner I kicked butt in a game of Dominos! Score: Me- 50, Matt- 4, Padriac, 16.
*does winner dance*
I figure with as much as I love that grill I will be a master in no time. I've already blocked away an afternoon or two this week to scour my cookbooks and magazines for new things to try on the grill!
If you have a great recipe or grilling idea please comment! I'd love to hear about it and try it.
:-)
It looks great! I hope we can try some of these new recipes when we come down in December.
