Not much to report again today. It's pouring rain so Matt and I (and the cats) are taking this opportunity for lots of sleeping, catching up on TV and lounging around. I did manage to make it out to Miami Beach Fit Running Club this morning. It was gorgeous this morning. I had ALL INTENTIONS of bringing my camera but I was running a little late. I came home and was exhausted. I went back to sleep and woke up at 11 (!).

Funny Story From Yesterday . . .
I went to go pick up Matt from the airport. We were chatting while I was in cell phone waiting area. We stayed chatting so I could find him easier when I drove through the pick-up area. Yeah, Matt was telling me he was down at terminal G, near Alaska Air. "Funny," I thought to myself, " I see terminal 4..." It was then that I realized I WAS AT THE WRONG AIRPORT!!!
*smacks forehead*
Seriously, you know your hubz travels too much for work when you go get him AT THE WRONG AIRPORT!!! I knew he was angry... I was too! I had to drive all the way from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami International and had to get up at 5 for a morning run in South Beach! We hung up and I drove all the way to MIA! Thank goodness they didn't have the lanes closed yet (there is a ton of construction going on).
I picked up a laughing Matt- not a mad Matt (thanks Sally!) at the RIGHT airport and we had a good chuckle. In my defense- Matt usually flies international from MIA and domestic from FLL. He was in DC- domestic- FLL!
Tonight we are trying a new church- hopefully better than the last one! I'll keep you updated.

update- crisis averted... we had to drain the pool as it was overflowing due to all the rain!! TOTAL HILARITY!! Matt and I- drenched- overflowing pool- mess!!! Don't worry- everything is ok!

ReplyDeleteThe airport confusion is something that I would totally do. I annoy B sometimes because I'll ask him a million times, "Which airport?" In all fairness, we do have three here. Craziness.

ReplyDeleteWould you believe I've tried to check in at the wrong airport? I tried to fly out of LGA instead of JFK and the lady looked at me like I was nuts and said I'd better call a cab and hope there was no traffic if I wanted to make it home on time.
